About the Role
As a VC Analyst (Finance), you will manage the financial backbone of Powertrain Ventures, ensuring robust fund operations and supporting investor relationships. This role combines financial expertise with strategic fund management. This role may be filled by a part-time or full-time team member.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising Support: Prepare materials for fundraising campaigns and coordinate with LPs during capital raising efforts.
- Investor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential LPs; ensure timely and transparent communication of fund performance.
- Fund Management: Oversee fund accounting, monitor portfolio performance, and ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations.
- Legal Coordination: Collaborate with legal teams to structure investments and maintain compliance with applicable laws.
- Reporting: Generate internal and external reports, including investor updates, fund financial statements, and performance metrics.
- Process Improvement: Optimize internal processes related to fund operations, financial forecasting, and LP engagement.
What You Bring
- Experience: 1-3 years in venture capital, private equity, fund management, or finance. Experience in Latam markets is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., CPA, CFA, or MBA) are a plus.
- Skills: Expertise in financial modeling, accounting principles, and tax regulations. Strong presentation and communication abilities.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
