Powertrain Ventures – B2B Sales & Business Development Associate

SUMMARY

We’re a startup studio and accelerator looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Associate to join our team. If you’re passionate about startups and have a knack for finding and nurturing new business opportunities, this could be the perfect role for you.

As a Business Development Associate, you’ll be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, clients, and building relationships with key stakeholders. You’ll work closely with our team and startup founders to understand the needs of our startups and help them grow and scale by finding the right resources and connections.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Self-starter: You’re comfortable taking initiative and have a track record of successfully identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
  • Strong communicator: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable communicating with a variety of stakeholders, startup founders, and potential partners.
  • Adaptable: You thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and are able to pivot and adjust your strategy as needed.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and upsell opportunities.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies and tactics to achieve quotas and growth targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that meet customer needs and support business objectives.
  • Provide insights and feedback to the leadership team on market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for improvement.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales and business development
  • Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales enablement tools
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a passion for driving sales growth
