We are a startup studio and accelerator working with early-stage companies, currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Legal Associate. You’ll work closely with our team and startup founders to understand the needs of our startups to provide them support to help them grow and succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the company’s legal documents in order and up to date
• Assist with the preparation and negotiation of investment and corporate documents such as term sheets, shareholder agreements, and board consents
• Conduct due diligence on potential investments and provide summaries to the investment team
• Manage and maintain company’s corporate records
• Provide support in the management of the firm’s portfolio, including monitoring of investment performance and compliance with investment agreements
• Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with the firm’s legal counsel on various legal and regulatory matters
• Support the firm’s finance team with the preparation of financial statements and investor reporting
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or related field
• 2+ years of experience in a legal and/or financial role, preferably in a venture capital or private equity firm
• Strong knowledge of corporate law and securities regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with legal research databases and financial modeling software is a plus
