Web Developer Intern

Powertrain Ventures – Garza García, Nuevo León, Mexico (Hybrid)

We are a startup studio and accelerator looking for a Web Developer intern to join our team. As a Web Developer intern, you’ll be responsible for working on software projects for our portfolio companies, collaborating with our team to understand the needs of our startups and use your technical expertise to help bring their ideas to life.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop and maintain web-based applications using WordPress and other low code/no code platforms
• Develop, maintain and enhance our cloud-hosted APIs, ensuring their availability, performance and scalability
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure code quality and functionality
• Contribute to the design and development of new products
• Backend application development using JavaScript and Node.js

Requirements:

• Recent grad or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals and proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Sound understanding of web development technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with backend application development.
• Familiarity with WordPress development.
• Passion for startups, innovation, and the digital sphere.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• A collaborative team player.
